We purchased one of Kris' spec homes on Hunter's Ridge golf course in December 2005. We relocated from Wisconsin and had one weekend to find a home. After looking at 18 houses, we quickly realized that the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in his homes was second to none. Some of our favorite features are the large kitchen with subzero appliances, beautiful bathrooms, and trim/woodwork that is unmatched in any other homes we've viewed. We knew exactly what kind of a home we wanted for our family, and this is truly our dream home. As for Kris and his team, we've noticed a unique characteristic about them compared to other builders we've worked with in the past - he cares. I believe the reason he cares is because he knows his name is attached to this home permanently, so even after our one-year warranty was up, Kris still was attentive to our needs and helpful. His response time to our needs has always been prompt (by that I mean usually things are done same day). He is also such a networked builder that he has been able to refer us to various contractors for additional needs we've had over the past two years (ex: Painters, siding contractor for golf ball damage, security system upgrades, carpet installers, etc.) Kris Hill is a builder I would rate at the top of the list. His ability to put the customer first - and be sincere about it - is something that has made working with him an absolute pleasure. I can't imagine anyone in Linn County using any other builder.
